I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
